Nina grew up in Carrboro, North Carolina. Home to her is sunlight, laughter, and chosen family. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Art History and Hispanic Literature and Culture and is currently an M.A. candidate in the Museum and Exhibition Studies Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her current research interrogates the silences inherent in representation and explores how to uncover and convey ignored and underrepresented histories, focusing primarily on sites of memory. You can typically find her baking cookies or napping under her heated blanket (surrounded by the crumbs of the aforementioned cookies).
