Raquel Flecha Vega is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Art History at the University of Illinois at Chicago and the recipient of UIC’s Star Fellowship. She is a first-generation college graduate, earning her B.A. in the History of Art at Smith College and her Master’s in Colonial Latin American Art from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Her research currently focuses on the historiography and pedagogy of exhibitions, especially concerning representations of Latinx cultures, with related interests in socially engaged art.
